What to do in KUALA LUMPUR : Colmar in Malaysia

You are in vacations in Kuala Lumpur ? Or are you simply an expatriate in Kuala Lumpur? If you are looking for an activity to do in Kuala Lumpur, this article might interest you.

As usual, we explore the surroundings of Kuala Lumpur, looking for new spots. This time, it is a couple of Malaysian friends who wanted to discover with us, the municipality of BENTONG, and more precisely, COLMAR, which is in Bukit Tinggi.

Colmar in Malaysia is a replica of the French city Colmar, in Alsace.
It is more precisely a village / attraction, which was inspired by the Alsatian houses, in particular.

First stop : lunch at the PINEYARD

Where is the Pineyard restaurant?

Pineyard is located in the municipality of Bentong, about 25 minutes from Colmar.

You will find a nice lake, ideal spot to take pictures.

How to reach Pineyard?

To reach Pineyard, it is quite simple by car.
It takes about 40 minutes from the center of KUALA LUMPUR.

What we ate

We opted for different dishes (we were 2 couples, and 3 children):

• Salmon steak,
• Fish and Chips,
• and the Big Breakfast.

Second stop : Colmar

After lunch, we drove 25 minutes to the Pineyard in Colmar.

In fact, this place includes restaurants and a 4-star hotel: the Colmar Tropicale.
We parked in the hotel’s parking lot (free of charge), inside (ideal to avoid the heat).

Third stop: the Japanese Village

It is only a 10 minute drive from Colmar Tropicale.

You will have some steps to climb.
Children can enjoy this walk.
On the other hand, with a stroller, it is much more complicated.

Other activities

You have other activities on site, but we did not have time to test them.

You will find in particular:

• The Animal House,
• Adventure Park, a small park for adventurers, young and old,
• Horse Riding Zone, to gallop for a few moments,
• the Botanical Garden.

In the same area, you will have the opportunity to explore equally unique places: waterfalls, rivers, often near guesthouses, etc.

You are also not far from the famous Genting Highlands, and its outlet etc.

Nature lovers will find what they are looking for in this region!
